Eggdrop - Bot permission

Postby Castiel » May 15th, 2013, 2:06 am

hello,
i got my free shell newly.
with the command " getegg " i installed eggdrop
then i edited eggdrop configuration i made the bot
it shows bot is in channel
" [03:41:39] === Bambam: 1 channels, 0 users.Launched into the background (pid: 7995) " in Putty
but bot doesnt join to channel

when i check the eggdrop log dir. , there is an error like this :
[03:39:25] Connected to irc.icq.com
[03:39:25] -ERROR from server- Closing link: (unknown@178.63.216.205) [No more connections allowed from your host via this connect class (global)]
[03:39:25] Disconnecting from server.
it seems there is no permission for me from the server.
another problem is , when i try to install eggdrop 1.8 by the command " getegg18 " it gives again permission error like " castiel@irc4:~$ getegg18cp: cannot open `/home/tesla/eggdrop18/eggdrop.chan' for reading: Permission deniedEggdrop have been installed! Have Fun :) "

first giving no permission and not allowed, after that it says " eggdrop have been installed " it is a dilemma.
when i check the home dir. i can see eggdrop there
even i try it with eggdrop 1.8 bot doesnt join to channel.

Eggdrop1.8 is fixed.
About the icq network - they allow only two connections from one ip, try using another ip it seems there are already two users on the one you tried.
