DO NOT do it the old way of .+bot bot host:port or you will have immediate issues

it's not the ONLY real difference eggdrop1.8 supports SSL & IPv6 by default (no patch needed) and later on, if you tried to link eggdrop1.8 with eggdrop1.6, you might need to match the handle length..
