About Server Rigel

Postby Lawless » June 5th, 2013, 5:15 pm

So I recently submit my request to have my IRCD Shell moved from Vega to Rigel. Well.. I got the information from the bot... But I still need an IP address to connect to and have yet to receive one. None of my files got transferred over. I'm not sure if that was something I needed to do or was done automatically. Nullbyte just PM me I should be around this evening or whenever you are available.

I've also encountered the error ./configure: line 6693: /usr/bin/make: Permission denied when I try to install my IRCD.. so i'm stuck at a stand still and not sure what to do.

Nothing is transferred automatically. You have just been created a new account in another shell server.
You have time until 19th to transfer files. I will update your permissions now, use ip 198.154.90.71 and non-standart ports (no 6667 etc)

-bash: fork: Cannot allocate memory

Ah ok. I was just figuring it was something I was doing on my end. It's all good. The only other issue I've been having is i'm unable to get into vega to grab my files. I get wrong password or sometimes doesn't even wanna connect. Maybe i'm doing something wrong. I tried SSHing and FTPing in and no luck.

We've received a note that the host will replace hardware, we will try to migrate the server without data loss.

NEWS

Postby NullByte » June 23rd, 2013, 9:41 am

NEWS!!

Server Rigel is finally moved. We are sorry about all the moving from one server to another, but it is not because of us. It is out of our hands.
It's problem of our provider and we couldn't do anything.

All users have received a memo with a new password. Please change it to something else.
Backups are in /home/backup/home/username

The znc is online too, use your old password, change setbindhost to another IP if you want the znc to work (with a new ip).

THE OLDER RIGEL IS STILL RUNNING IF YOU NEED STH, HOST: 198.154.90.71

Postby uranus » June 23rd, 2013, 1:05 pm

I was moved from Vega. I had requested vaselba to move to Rigel, i did that (june 8).. and I got the new temporary password.
But that password doesn't work. I just tried again... And I didn't get any new memo from vaselba at irc either, I just checked...

Could you please advise what to do?

cheers,
