UPDATE 21th July 2013!

viewtopic.php?f=57&t=1415

****

Alpha was DDoSed and the company we had rented the server closed it.
You can request change or wait until we rent from another company.
To request change please type:
for eggdrop: /msg veselba eggdrop change approved From Alpha To Epsilon
for znc: /msg veselba znc change approved From Alpha to Epsilon

****

We diagnosed a 'problem' with delaying you when you add server in znc and try to connect to it:
[21:18:36] <*status> Connecting...
[21:51:56] <*status> Connected!

You can see.. 30 minutes to connect to IRC Server.
This is because we've put a delay setting in IRC to avoid larger irc networks refusing its clients for fast connecting.
Imagine we have 20 users for Efnet. Then Vega is restarted for maintenance. Imagine if they all connect at the same time.. The server will thorttle and g-line them for 'fast connecting' from one host.
So this is why there is a delay.
However we decreased the delay and removed some inactive users and will add users to Alpha from now on. So if there is a delay now it should be very short (within minute or two).

We apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused.

UPDATE: The problem still persists, we are trying to solve it.

****

Epsilon oidentd has bugged and all users have ident "irc". We are working on fixing it.

There were again problems with vega "Connecting..." which are now solved.
Unfortunately vega.fewona.net is still inaccessible from some parts, so use vega2.fewona.net until resolved.
So this means the ip behind vega.fewona.net might not be accessible from some parts of the world.
Stay tuned for news.

Currently we have problems with Tesla (irc4.me) too - despite you bind to .206 or .208 ip, only .205 works. We are analyzing the problem..

Yes its fixed now (the ISP changed the IP).
vega.fewona.net will now resolve to 209.141.51.220 you can use it or use vega2.fewona.net
