As of the 13th of December (2012) we have removed idle and connection time from /whois info.
So no need to setup anti-idle scripts anymore - your idle is hidden. IRC Operators can still view it though.
If you want people to see your idle time, just enable /ctcp FINGER

My opinion?
think should be visible so that people without getting into personnel can effectively verify if an operator or user is present.

users who want to cover their idle for security use anti-idle script which floods the servers (to reset the timer)
ctcp is working and everyone who wants can use it
